Baiyou Obtains USD 10 Mln Funding

DoNews, 12/14/10

Chinese online game developer and operator Beijing Baiyou Huitong Technology confirmed today that it had recently received USD 10 mln in its first round of funding. The company declined to identify the investor, however. Baiyou said it would use the funds to increase promotions for new products and to expand its R&D team.

Former 8844.com VP Lin Yue founded Baiyou in 2007. The company currently employs nearly 500 people in three R&D teams in Beijing and Hangzhou. As of November, Lin said, the company had operations revenues of RMB 95 mln for 2010. Baiyou's main products are the fantasy-themed MMORPGs Shouxue Feiteng, released in 2009, and Longteng Shijie, released in 2010.
