iQiyi Licenses Self-Produced Content to Jiangxi Satellite TV

Netease Tech, 7/17/12

On July 17, Chinese internet company Baidu's (Nasdaq: BIDU) joint-venture online video site iQiyi announced that it has sold the rights to its self-produced sci-fi romance series Qiyi Jiating to Jiangxi Satellite following the series' online debut. iQiyi declined to reveal financial details of the deal, which it said was not for free viewing of the series.

iQiyi CEO Gong Yu said that iQiyi would not attempt to skirt new content regulations for self-produced online programming recently issued by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT), and would continue to focus on quality content.
