Rumor: ShopEx Lands RMB 30 Mln Series D Funding

On March 20, an industry source revealed that Chinese e-commerce software and services provider ShopEx recently received RMB 30 mln in fourth-round investment from Legend Capital. When contacted by Ebrun for verification, a spokesperson for ShopEx declined to comment.
ShopEx's previous three rounds of investment came from Legend Capital and Chinese e-commerce conglomerate Alibaba Group; as in this case, the exact amount of investment was not disclosed.
Shanghai-based ShopEx Network Technology was established in 2002. The company offers clients application platform, consulting, and management services, cross-platform, multi-channel e-commerce solutions, and all-in-one e-commerce store solutions. ShopEx has also developed a number of software products (including e-commerce store systems, management systems, and tools) aimed directly at providing merchants using Alibaba Group's C2C & B2C e-commerce site Taobao with more precise operations and management options.
