SAPPRFT, Yunnan Broadcast & TV Establish NGB Lab Base

On May 9, China's State Administration of Press and Publication, Radio, Film, and Television (SAPPRFT) and the Yunnan Broadcast & TV Information Transmission Network announced the establishment of a next-generation broadcast and radio network technology laboratory and service applications lab base.

According to Wang Jian, chairman of Yunnan Broadcast & TV, next-generation broadcasting (NGB) will provide a massive platform for programming and information, enabling consumers to guide the content-provision and consumption models and ushering in a diverse range of terminal devices for viewing and consumption.
