Baidu's Cloud Storage Registered User Base Exceeds 70 Mln

Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) recently announced that the number of registered users of the company's Baidu Yun personal cloud storage service has reached 70 mln and daily active users (DAU) has reached 2 mln. Baidu Yun registered users are increasing at a rate of 200,000 per-day.

Baidu Yun's commercial products and services include "net drive" online storage, online address books, photo albums, online notebooks, SMS functionality, a handset locator service, and online music products. Baidu Yun services can be used to sync a variety of files, including photos, documents, music, and contact information, across multiple terminals. Baidu's cloud services also support online video and radio playback, online editing and viewing of documents and photos, and file sharing.

The company has also announced that its developer-targeted cloud-based computing, storage, and application services will be branded as the "Baidu Open Cloud."
