China's May 2013 Cable DTV User Base Reaches 148 Mln

China's digital cable TV user base reached approximately 148.08 mln as of the end of May 2013, signifying a 69.01% conversion to digital of China's 214.59 mln cable subscriber households, according to the State Administration of Press and Publication, Radio, Film, and Television (SAPPRFT).

Twenty provinces and provincial-level municipalities have digital cable conversion ratios that are higher than the national average, including the provinces of Ningxia, Qinghai, Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Guizhou, and the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
