SNS App Developer Wangzhi Secures USD 7-Digit Funding

Jin Zan, CEO of Shenzhen-based mobile app developer Wangzhi Technology, operator of mobile SNS app "Hot Mama Gangs" ("Lamabang"), has revealed that the company has received RMB 7-digit first round funding led by venture capital firm Matrix Partners, with VC firms China Renaissance K2 Ventures and Morningside Ventures also participating in the round.

Hot Mama Gangs is a mobile SNS app targeted at pregnant women and young mothers. The app allows users to join "gangs" (topic-oriented social groups) based on a variety of interests, including child rearing, fashion, relationships, and beauty. In addition, users may use LBS services to find nearby "hot mamas."

Wangzhi Technology was founded in December 2011, and in May 2012 released the Hot Mama Gangs app. The app now has approximately 1 mln registered users, with a daily active user base of 100,000.
