Tencent Licenses Global Operating Rights for 'Smite'

Chinese internet and mobile services firm Tencent (0700.HK) has announced that the company has acquired the global operating rights for 3D browser-based action real-time strategy game Smite, developed by US-based Hi-Rez Studios. Tencent will launch beta testing of the game in China in October, followed by a global release of the game. Hi-Rez will retain operating rights for the game in North America and Europe.
