Rumor: Chukong to Start Testing of 'Fishing Joy III'

DoNews, 6/30/14

An insider at Beijing-based mobile game developer and operator Chukong Technology has revealed that the company will commence closed beta testing in July for its self-developed casual mobile game Fishing Joy III. The game uses Chukong's 3D engine Cocos2d-x3.0.

Chukong had hoped to list in the US in May, but withdrew its application due to a low valuation. According to the IPO prospectus, the company's Fishing Joy-series of games is the company's main source of income, accounting for 74.1%, 61.8% and 73.4% of total revenues in 2011-2013, respectively.
