JD.com, Intel to Cooperate on 'RealSense' Shopping

Beijing-based B2C e-commerce platform JD.com (Nasdaq: JD) today signed a strategic partnership framework agreement with US chipmaker Intel that will see the two companies set up a joint innovation lab to explore online "real sense" shopping. Under the agreement, JD.com and Intel will develop applications such as 3D product display and visual fitting rooms for the JD.com website using Intel's RealSense facial recognition and sensory input technology.

JD.com will also work with Intel to develop smart hardware solutions.
