Mobile Alipay Update Includes Read-and-Burn Messaging Feature

Chinese third-party payment platform Alipay recently launched Version 9.2 of its mobile app, adding a new "Read & Burn" instant message deletion function to the platform's chat interface. Users can choose "Read & Burn" within the chat interface to send a message. Once the message has been opened by the recipient, it will automatically delete after 10 seconds from both the sender and recipient's chat logs.
Version 9.2 also adds a "Life Circles" feature similar to the "Moments" social feed feature on Tencent's (0700.HK) WeChat mobile messaging app, which allows videos and photos to be shared with friends. In addition to comments and "likes," Life Circles allows users to respond to shared content with a "cash rewards" option, that will transfer a random donation of up to RMB 1 to the recipient.
Additional features offered in Version 9.2 include the following：
1. Supports switching between simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese and English.
2. Improved layout.
3. Compatible with iPhone 6s/6s Plus, and adds Apple's 3D Touch functions.
