Campus O2O Service Provider Anlaiye Wins RMB 200 Mln Series A+

Shanghai-based Anlaiye (formerly Smile Trading), operator of campus convenience store O2O service platform "I'm Coming," has completed RMB 200 mln Series A+ funding, according to company founder Sun Shaorui. RMB 130 mln of the funding, which was provided jointly from Zhejiang Semir Garment (002563.SZ), Talent Capital, Binghui Yourong Capital, and others, has already been received. The remaining RMB 70 mln investment is from an unspecified state-owned enterprise. The total Series A+ funding, once the round is completed, will be between RMB 200 mln and RMB 250 mln, for a valuation of RMB 1.2 bln.
Anlaiye's businesses currently include campus O2O convenience store sales, an online trading platform for university students, game publishing, loans and financial services for tuition, entrepreneurship, and consumer purchases, and employment and internship training for university students. Anlaiye has recruited executives from online media firm Shanda Group, Adidas, and Ping An Bank (0000001.SZ) to run each of its various businesses.
Anlaiye's core O2O business covers 210,000 dormitories from more than 800 campuses in 40 cities. The 2.6 mln registered users make 220,000 daily orders with an average per order cost of RMB 15. Anlaiye plans to expand to 1,500 campuses and 6.5 mln users in 2016.
