ECI Telecom Wins Optical Transmission Contract in Henan

Israeli telecom equipment provider ECI Telecom today announced that Electric Power of Henan, the Henan province branch of State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), has selected ECI to expand its optical transmission network (OTN). The new network will provide greater communication capacity to Henan's power plants throughout the southern cities of the Henan Province. ECI Telecom is supporting Electric Power of Henan as it promotes energy that is more efficient and moves away from air-polluting sources of energy. Henan has closed down several coal plants, and expects to build nearly 200 new efficient power factories.
