Isilon to Enter China Market

US clustered storage provider Isilon announced plans for a full-scale assault on the Chinese market November 6.

Isilon's Asia-Pacific VP Tom Pettigrew indicated that Greater China is crucial to the company's Asia strategy. With high-tech firms clustered in Taiwan and Hong Kong and huge broadcasting, media, oil and natural gas, and government markets on the mainland, the region presents Isilon with an opportunity to consolidate its position as a global leader in its field.

Isilon products include the IQ200, IQ1920, IQ3000, IQ6000 and IQ9000 range of platform nodes, the EX6000, EX9000 storage extension nodes and the IQ Accelerator extension node. Licensable software includes SyncIQ, SnapshotIQ, SmartConnect, MigrationIQ and SmartQuotas.
