Google announced the launch of an SMS-based mobile search platform November 20.
Users can text their search terms to 999333 and Google will then send back the results, also by SMS. Stock market information, weather forecasts, train timetables, zip codes, maths questions, exchange rates and translations are all available. There is no charge for the service, beyond operator charges for the SMS.
