Netmovie Sues Tudou for Copyright Infringement

Video sharing site Tudou is being sued by Beijing Netmovie, the exclusive TVB-authorized broadcasting company, on suspicion of broadcasting 13 TVB films. Netmovie is seeking over RMB 3 mln in compensation.

A source has disclosed that Netmovie is also currently preparing for a suit against Tencent (0700.HK) for video copyright infringement.

Editor's note: Earlier this year, Netmovie sued Chinese online video site 56.com, and also won another infringement suit against online entertainment firm Vale.
