The DVD 6C Licensing Agency will implement a new patent licensing plan this year under which per-disc DVD patent fees will drop from USD 0.045 to USD 0.04. Given China's estimated 2.4 billion DVDs produced per year, this will lead to a savings of some USD 12 mln.
