Six Vendors Win TD-SCDMA Network Access Permits

Authorities have announced the six manufacturers awarded TD-SCDMA network access permits: Lenovo (0992.HK), ZTE (0763.HK; 000063.SZ), Hisense (600060.SH), Guangzhou New Postcom, LG, and Samsung. Having won network access permits, the companies will be allowed to bring to market 6 TD-SCDMA mobile phones and one data card. ZTE won two network access permits, while Lenovo Mobile's TD800 is the first product to win a network access permit.
