TCL Communication H1 2008 Profit Up 5,500% YoY

Chinese handset manufacturer TCL Communication Technology (2618.HK) has announced its unaudited financial results for H1 2008, with net revenues reaching HKD 2.34 bln, down 13% year-on-year.
Net profit for the quarter came to HKD 112 mln, up 5,500% YoY.
The company sold a total of 6.7 mln handsets in H1 2008, up 60% YoY, of which 6.09 mln units were exported, up 62% YoY.
