Reuters Buys Stake in ChinaWeb

Sina Tech, 3/19/08

Reuters has purchased a minority stake in Chinese online financial information provider ChinaWeb. ChinaWeb's principal operating business is Hexun, an independent online financial website with close to 50 mln unique users a month. Once the purchase is complete, Reuters will provide ChinaWeb with its online Reuters Investor Service (RIS), which will be made available to personal investors on Hexun's website.
