Shanda President Resigns

Chinese online game company Shanda (Nasdaq: SNDA) has announced that its president, Tang Jun, has resigned his position with the company to pursue other opportunities. Tang will remain on the board of directors and also serve as an advisor to CEO Chen Tianqiao. CTO and co-founder of Shanda, Tan Qunzhao will replace Mr. Tang as president, and will also continue in his role as CTO. Tang Jun has been president of Shanda since February 2004.

The company has also announced a series of key executive appointments: Co-founder, and former president of Shanda Online (SDO), Chen Danian, has been appointed COO of Shanda. Vice president of Shanda Games (SDG), Diana Li, will take over the role of CEO of SDG, and Judy Wang, vice president of SDO has been named as SDO's new CEO.
