Intel Invests USD 12 mln in SMGBB

The Shanghai Media Group and Intel have announced a comprehensive partnership on broadband online TV. Intel will invest USD 12 mln in providing technical and product development support for SMG subsidiary SMGBB.

Editor's Note: Intel has not yet revealed whether its USD 12 mln investment will see it gain shares in SMGBB. SMGBB's portal site, www.smgbb.cn, has obtained an "Online Audio-Visual Broadcasting License" from SARFT.
