WoW Users Complain about The9 Service

Sohu IT, 4/15/08

World of Warcraft players have been complaining of loss of connections to The9 (Nasdaq: NCTY) servers, delays and loss of user data, causing players to lose money and experience points and affecting their enjoyment of the game. Other players are unhappy with The9's customer service, citing problems in getting through and unhelpful staff.

According to the The9, the stability problems are due to the upgrade to World of Warcraft 2.4, a rapid increase in user numbers, and large numbers of gamers using particular applications such as cross-zone battles, and skill competitions. The9 is increasing the number of servers available in order to improve the situation.
