Sohu Forms Strategic Cooperation with SKT

Sohu (Nasdaq: SOHU) and SK Telecom, South Korea's largest mobile communications operator, announced today that the two companies had reached a strategic partnership agreement under which they will cooperate and share resources, content, technology, and operating models.

Sohu's Korean entertainment channel will have exclusive usage rights to video content produced by SK Telecom and will relay news, music, music videos, arts programming and video content related to the Korean entertainment industry. Meanwhile, SK Telecom's Korean music website, Melon, will feature entertainment news and content provided by Sohu. Sohu will also partner with SK Telecom on artist management, investment in video programming, wireless operations and services in a range of other areas. The personal blogs of film, television, and music stars operated through SK Telecom's entertainment subsidiaries will also appear on Sohu.
