Rumor: The9 to Cooperate with Financial Institution

According to an informed source, Chinese online game developer and operator The9 (Nasdaq: NCTY) is to cooperate with a listed financial institution to launch cross-sector promotional products for World of Warcraft. This will include branded credit cards, the use of banking databases for promotional purposes, and joint promotions with banking partners.
The9 PR head, Zhao Yurun, confirmed these plans, but did not comment on who the partner is or what the arrangement will involve.
