China Business News, 6/20/08

Since its listing on the Nasdaq stock exchange, Chinese wireless baseband chipset provider Spreadtrum (Nasdaq: SPRD) has seen the loss of several key technical, sales and marketing executives. A source with knowledge of the situation revealed that since the beginning of this year, CTO and co-founder Chen Datong, VP of operations and co-founder Fan Renyong, VP of sales Zhou Chengyun and marketing director Xun Fei have all left the company. In addition, the source claims that over the last few days another set of directors have resigned.

Co-founder Chen Datong has stated that he left the company in March this year, but has not yet decided on his next move. A source within the company indicated that there was a trend among key staff to leave once they had accomplished success.
