China Mobile Selects 800 TD-SCDMA "Friendly Users"

China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) has announced the selection of two groups (800 people in total) of TD-SCDMA "Friendly Users". The users will access the network with New Postcom N268, Hisense T68 and Lenovo TD800 handsets.

Company statistics show that China Mobile received 70,000 applications through June 19 from users in trial cities who were interested in joining the network trials. The largest number of applicants came from Beijing, with sizable groups applying from Shanghai and Guangzhou as well.
