Beijing Times, 7/05/08

A judge at the Beijing Haidian District People's Court has ordered Beijing-based online video site Jeboo to pay RMB 8,000 in compensation to Guangdong-based AV company Zoke Culture. Zoke had brought suit against Jeboo, alleging that the company had provided online rebroadcasts of the film Song of Everlasting Sorrow on its website without obtaining proper authorization. Zoke, which owns all internet broadcasting rights for the film, had sought damages of RMB 155,000.
