iFeng Sues Online Video Sites

Phoenix New Media's iFeng internet portal formally brought suit against online video providers Ku6 and Lianbo.tv for copyright infringement today. iFeng alleges that Ku6 and Lianbo.tv engaged in unauthorized online rebroadcasts of Phoenix TV programming, for which iFeng holds the rights. iFeng said that it was also preparing evidence against Youku and other infringing video sharing sites, and that its suit against Ku6 and Lianbo.tv is only the beginning. A spokesperson for Ku6's marketing department confirmed the suit.
