LG, Haier Establish IPS Technology Alliance

Television manufacturer LG Display has announced that it has established an alliance to promote the marketing and sales of IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology together with other television manufacturers including Hisense (600060.SH), Skyworth (0751.HK) and Haier.

Under the agreement, all parties have agreed to use the "Hard Screen" logo representing IPS technology in their advertising. Additionally, they also pledged to offer demonstrations and technological comparisons at exhibitions and in public. In addition to Chinese companies, foreign firms such as LG Electronics and Panasonic have also joined the IPS alliance.
