Baidu to Open C2C Platform to Pre-Approved Sellers

Baidu's (Nasdaq: BIDU) C2C platform is now inviting businesses in Shanghai to become sellers on the platform, as Baidu makes final preparations for its public launch.

Baidu has now solicited businesses to join its platform in Beijing, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, and Shanghai, all of which have developed markets for electronics businesses

Baidu announced that it will partly open its e-commerce platform to 10,000 pre-approved sellers at 8 p.m. on September 25. The sellers will be able to access the platform to activate online the payment tool "Bai Fu Bao," complete real-name account information and complete the lay out of their stores.
