China Mobile Records 419K TD-SCDMA Users

Statistics from China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) show that by the end of 2008, China Mobile had 419,000 TD-SCDMA users.
Editor's Note: At the end of November 2008, it was reported that China Mobile had a total of 320,000 "friendly" TD-SCDMA users, meaning users who had been given a free TD-SCDMA phone and phone credit in order to test the service. In January 2008, Chinese market research firm CCID estimated that there would be 8.4 mln TD-SCDMA users by the end of 2008.
