Google China, J.cn Cooperate on Valentine's Day Map

Google China has revealed it will cooperate with Beijing area lifestyle website J.cn to launch a Valentine's Day map service in the Beijing area.

The Beijing area Valentine's Day maps will include 15 specialty map services containing information on dining, gifts, maps, chocolate stores, live performances, bars, and hotels. Each map will contain merchant information pertinent to Valentine's Day consumers.

Map search technology will be provided by Google, with consumer content and information to be supplied by J.cn.

The two parties reportedly began discussions surrounding the cooperation before the Chinese New Year holiday (January 25-31). Zhou Jie, former products director for Google China, is the founder of J.cn.
