Alipay, China Yahoo Ally on "Trusted Mail" Plan

Beijing Times, 3/09/09

Chinese third-party online payment firm Alipay and China Yahoo have announced plans for a "trusted mail project" that will use Yahoo's DomainKeys e-mail authentication method to combat phishing. According to the two companies, when Alipay sends notification of account changes or other important information, Yahoo mail users will see the Alipay logo displayed next to the e-mail in their inbox, and the e-mail will also contain Alibaba's digital key. This will enable users to see at a glance if an e-mail is a genuine Alipay message.
