Giant, IBM Cooperate on ITIL System

Online game developer and operator Giant Interactive (NYSE: GA) and IBM have announced that after 3 months of cooperation, Giant has successfully developed an information management system based on the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) management concepts and policies. After implementing ITIL, Giant will become the first domestic online gaming enterprise to obtain ISO 20000 certification.

Song Shiliang, CTO of Giant, stated that after implementing the ITIL, Giant has an intelligent monitoring and problem classification system for its online gaming operations that can display user data, connection status, and network status in real-time, providing it with a means to help identify and correct problems.
