Huawei 3G Data Cards Pass MIIT Tests

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT)'s China Academy of Telecommunication Research (CATR) released its first round of 3G CDMA2000 data card test results today, with 7 product models passing the tests. Chinese telecom equipment and handset manufacturer Huawei had 4 models pass: the EC169, EC8189, EC226, and EC1260.

As of February 2009, Huawei had shipped a total of over 30 mln 3G data cards procured by 235 operators from over 110 countries and regions worldwide.
