Lenovo to Launch 50 New Consumer Products in 2009

During 2009, Lenovo (0992.HK) will launch 50 new consumer products, more than 20 of which will be notebooks in the Y-, U-, S-, and G-series, covering home entertainment, ultra-portable, and netbook product categories. The computer maker will also release 24 new models of desktop computer, including its first all-in-one offering, the A600, as well as home servers for digital home entertainment, home theater PCs (HTPC), and nettop PC offerings.

Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing says Lenovo will implement regional management in emerging markets to allow its regional marketing teams to devise their own plans for products, channels, and promotions, and to work with their partners to jointly develop channel systems. Lenovo will also develop a directly operated system to provide services, customized product development, and rapid supply-chain response.
