LeTV Sues Tudou, Youku for Copyright Infringement

Chinese online video site LeTV has announced it has filed suit against online video-sharing sites Tudou and Youku in a Beijing court for alleged copyright infringement stemming from unauthorized broadcasts of the wartime spy-drama serial "Lurk".

A spokesperson for LeTV's copyright division stated that the company obtained exclusive online broadcasting rights to Lurk in November of last year. So far a total of 7 websites have purchased broadcasting rights for the series from LeTV, but of China's video sharing websites, only Ku6 has obtained aurthoized broadcasting rights for the series.
