Paipai Regulates Four Product Groups

Tencent Tech, 4/09/09

Internet and wireless value-added services provider Tencent's (0700.HK) online auction site, Paipai, has announced that the website will immediately implement stricter standardization rules for health products, medical devices, foods, and cosmetic products available on its site. According to Paipai, the website has taken action against products that violate website rules, and will institute strict product verification and admission procedures.

Yang Sha, public relations manager for Paipai, stated that sales of products in the above 4 categories will be closely monitored and require manual approval. If a product is suspected of rule infringement and a problem is found, the product will be immediately removed. Online stores that seriously infringe the website regulations will be permanently banned.
