Rumor: Mobile Search Firms Vie for Unicom Cooperation

Reliable sources report that China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) is currently seeking partners for its 3G search service, with bidding for partners now in the final phase. Unicom will choose between search giant Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) and mobile search engines mInfo and Easou.

Editor's Note: Previous rumors suggested that China Unicom would cooperate with Baidu on mobile search.
