Government Offers Tax Incentives for Provincial DTV Operators

The Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation have announced tax exemptions on operating income for a number of provincial and municipal digital cable television operators. Operators in 9 provinces and municipalities including Tianjin, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hunan, Guangdong, Guizhou, and Yunnan will receive tax exemptions on basic digital cable television subscription fees for a period of 3 years beginning from January 1, 2009.
