Jan-April Guangdong Handset Exports Reach 60 Mln

Shanghai Securities News, 5/22/09

According to statistics from Guangzhou Customs, the city exported 60.02 mln handsets in the first 4 months of 2009, up 3.9% YoY, and accounting for 41.9% of national handset exports. Guandong exports had a total value of USD 4.21 bln, up 11.6% YoY. Exports to South Korea totaled 13.56 mln units, up 260% YoY; exports to Hong Kong and the US declined 4.9% and 18% YoY, respectively.
