IVO to Establish 7.5G TFT-LCD Production Line

TFT-LCD manufacturer InfoVision Optoelectronics (Kunshan) (IVO) deputy general manager Li Shaowu confirmed the company plans to invest USD 3.25 bln in a 7.5 generation TFT-LCD panel production line Kunshan, Jiangsu province. The facility is expected to have monthly production capacity of 90,000 units, primarily for use in LCD flat-screen TVs 42" or larger and desktop computer LCD displays 19" or larger.

Li said investment for the project will come from IVO's two largest shareholders, Kunshan Economic & Technical Development Zone Assets Operation Co., Ltd and Infovision Holding Co., Ltd.

Editor's Note: China Business News reports Kunshan Development Zone Planning Commission vice director Gu Jianyu as saying the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has already approved the project.
