Xoceco Jan-May 2009 Export Sales Volume Up 65%

Chinese TV and automobile monitor manufacturer Xiamen Overseas Chinese Electronics (Xoceco) (600870.SH) exported 580,000 color television sets with an estimated total value of USD 130 mln in the first five months of this year, a 65% increase year-on-year. The company forecasts total export revenue for 2009 will exceed USD 500 mln.
A Xoceco spokesperson said the company has orders through August, and due to the resulting increase in production the company will be recruiting for 1,200 new positions this year.
