China's 2008 Software Exports Hit USD 3.38 Bln

Wang Chao, assistant minister of China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), today revealed the total value of export agreements for the Chinese software industry (not including embedded software) in 2008 was USD 3.38 bln, up 80.2% year-on-year. Service outsourcing agreements, including IT outsourcing (ITO) and business process outsourcing (BPO), reached USD 3.81 bln, rising by 160%. Wang was speaking at the Seventh China International Software & Information Services Fair.
