Mainland Sends LED Investment Delegation to Taiwan

Taiwanese media have quoted Wang Ning, Deputy Director General of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce (CECC), as saying that the CECC will lead a delegation of more than ten Mainland electronics companies, including Haier (1169.HK) and Hisense (600060.SH), on a trip to Taiwan to explore investment opportunities in Taiwan's electronics industry.

Members of the investment group include vice-presidents and other senior management from Haier, the China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC)'s LED plant, ZTE (0763.HK; 000063.SZ), and BOE (000725.SZ). Reportedly the group is most interested in Taiwan's LED industry, and has plans to purchase LED equipment, products, and possibly even plants.
