MIIT to Promote Reorganization of Basic Software Enterprises

Zhao Xiaofan, director of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT)'s Software Services Department, has revealed that the MIIT plans to promote restructuring of basic software enterprises to form several core basic software companies.

According to Zhao, companies formed through the restructuring process will have several hundred million and several billion RMB in registered capital to focus on the development of basic software.
