Alibaba Invests USD 100 Mln to Establish Chengdu Base

The Alibaba Group will invest USD 100 mln in establishing a new base, "Alibaba West," in Chengdu, Sichuan. Operations at the new base will cover all of the services offered by the Alibaba Group's subsidiaries, as well as R&D, call-center, backend operations, account management, emergency systems, and training services. The Alibaba Group's software subsidiary, Alisoft, has also signed an agreement to set up a Chengdu operations and service center.
