Irico Display Expects H1 2009 Net Loss of RMB 96 Mln

Chinese color television tube (CTT) manufacturer Irico Display Devices (600707.SH) has issued its 2009 interim report, in which it estimates a loss of RMB 96 mln for H1 2009.

Irico said that due to the financial crisis and depressed overseas demand, the company received fewer export orders and saw decreased sales volume; simultaneously the domestic market for flat-screen displays expanded rapidly, reducing sales volume and prices for CRT televisions, further reducing the company's revenue and profit margins.

Irico lost RMB 12 mln during the same period last year.
