CSMBC Recruits 26 Provincial CMMB Operators

Nine provincial CMMB operators have already obtained operating licenses according to the China Satellite Mobile Broadcasting Corporation (CSMBC), and 17 others have signed operating agreements with the national CMMB operator. The licensed provinces include three in the Northeast as well as others in the northwest, southwest, and south of the Yangtse River. Shandong province has already officially begun broadcasting along with 188 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Jinan and Shenyang.
CSMBC plans to provide complete CMMB coverage in 337 prefecture-level cities by the end of this year.
